Hidetake Yamakawa<\/strong> was born in Tokyo, Japan. He received his degree in Songwriting from Berklee College of Music, and also studied Operatic Vocal Performance at Longy School of Music. His work includes the blending of classical vocal techniques with that of pop music, the development of a unique style of music with instruments rich in harmonic overtones, as well as recent developments in Neo-Japonism, combining sound with color. Yamakawa provides music for Tamatsuka Mitsuru\u2019s company Tamapro, as well as for the experimental films made by the collaborative production team, Sagi Tama, in collaboration with dancers and poets.
